Frequently Asked Questions
What is DDP shipping and why is it better than standard Amazon logistics for FDA-regulated products?
DDP (Delivered Duty Paid) means the shipper handles all customs clearance and duties upfront, eliminating delays at US customs. Unlike standard Amazon logistics, DDP ensures proper FDA certification handling before arrival, preventing bulk shipment destruction and product loss.
How long does sea freight from China to Amazon FBA warehouses typically take?
Sea DDP shipments are delivered 25-30 days after sailing. This timeframe is reliable for planning inventory replenishment for Amazon sellers.
Which types of products require special handling when shipping from China to the USA?
Products like bandages, pet nutritional supplements, and other FDA-regulated goods require proper certifications and clearance. DDP shipping ensures these certifications are handled correctly to avoid customs hold-ups and product destruction.
Can I ship directly to Amazon FBA warehouses using DDP service from China?
Yes, DDP service supports direct shipments to Amazon USA FBA and AWD warehouses. This streamlined process eliminates intermediate steps and reduces the risk of clearance issues.
